The Moon Keeper

100 x 100 cm, acrylic on canvas, 2017

”I often tend to add a few mystical or enigmatic elements in my paintings. The full moon, antlers, wings or some ancient signs create a touch of magic and northern visions that are distinctive for us living here close to the North Pole. I can’t sleep well during the full moon, and every time I see it, I have a need to paint it. This deer takes good care of the moon by keeping it tightly stuck between his antlers.”
